Start the year feeling better – not busier!

Start the year feeling better – not busier!

Feeling overwhelmed by the flood of ‘new year, new you’ messages? You’re not alone. Here at the clinic, we’re taking a far gentler (and more sensible!) approach.

It’s been a grey start to the year, with plunging temperatures, chaos on the roads, and a lot of uncertainty in the wider world. At times like these, slowing down is not only sensible – it’s essential. As we move into this next phase, taking care of yourself first is a very good place to begin. After all, caring for those we love comes more easily when we aren’t pouring from an empty cup. So remember to check in with yourself – and then with us.

We’re still in the very depths of winter: a season that naturally calls for rest, calm, and intentional self-care. January doesn’t have to mean turning your entire world upside down just because Instagram says so.

Looking ahead: an exciting shift for our 30th year

This year marks a very special milestone for us – our 30th year on Broadway Market (yes, really!). To celebrate, we’re making an exciting shift in how we do things.

We’ll be moving away from some of the complementary therapies we’ve previously offered, allowing us to focus more deeply on what we’re most passionate about:

Podiatry, Foot Health, Osteopathy, Colonic Hydrotherapy, and my personal favourite powerhouse – Vitamin B12 injections.

These disciplines better reflect our commitment to supporting long-term health, injury rehabilitation, disease prevention, and whole-person wellbeing.

So, if you haven’t entered January with quite the enthusiasm and bounce of my terrific miniature dachshund Dolly (pictured here!), please don’t worry. Get in touch in whatever way feels most comfortable. You can book all treatments online, and if you can’t find a time that suits, let us know – we’ll always do our best to open up a slot for you.

Vitamin B12 – a true powerhouse 💥

Feeling tired, run-down, prone to colds, or just a bit meh? You’re not alone.

Even those of us who enjoy a varied, nutritious diet often don’t absorb enough usable Vitamin B12, meaning deficiency is far more common than many realise. In some cases, there may be enough B12 in the bloodstream, but the body can’t use it effectively – this is known as functional Vitamin B12 deficiency. This is frequently missed, as standard blood tests measure total B12 rather than the active form that fuels your cells.

In other words: normal on paper, exhausted in real life. A bit like having money in the bank, but no card to access it.

Book in for a Vitamin B12 injection and many people feel the benefits within hours.

Colonic Hydrotherapy – out with the old, in with the new ✨

Looking for a clean slate, or simply to feel lighter?

Colonic hydrotherapy does not wash away the protective, beneficial bacteria that live along the bowel wall. In fact, a cleaner environment allows healthy bacteria the space they need to thrive and repopulate, with fewer unwanted organisms to compete against. Many clients report fewer uncomfortable bowel symptoms afterwards, often due to improved gut balance. Book easily online.

A fond farewell 👋

This month we say goodbye to Annie, who is leaving us to take up her place in the Royal Navy.

Annie joined the team in February 2023 as a massage therapist, having trained alongside studying for her GCSEs. At the time, she became the youngest qualified massage therapist in the UK – impressive! Since then, she has completed her A-levels while also building a busy practice here at the clinic, with many returning clients.

She will be greatly missed – not least for her sunny smile, incredibly strong hands, and her talent for easing even the toughest knots, often leaving clients floating out the door.

We salute you, Annie, and thank you for the service you are about to embark upon, especially in light of current global events. Please join us in wishing her every success and a very bright future ahead.

Big love,

Tracy
