There is no difference between a Chiropodist and a Podiatrist – but ‘Podiatrist’ is the name that we use more often. A Podiatrist (Chiropodist) specialises in the assessment, treatment and diagnosis of disorders of the foot, leg, and ankle including postural and biomechanical assessment. They also treat everyday problems of the foot including calluses, corns, bunions and ingrown or fungal toenails.

A holistic massage is designed to help you unwind, de-stress, and enjoy a calming treatment. It uses flowing movements and gentle to moderate pressure to ease general tension, support circulation, and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This type of massage is ideal if you’re looking for a soothing experience, some time to switch off, or a well-earned treat.

Deep tissue massage is a more targeted, clinical approach to managing muscle and joint pain. It focuses on specific problem areas and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue that are often linked to ongoing discomfort, restricted movement, or postural strain. The pressure can feel challenging at times but is carefully applied to support long-term improvement.

Deep tissue treatments are commonly used as part of a personalised treatment plan and may involve more than one session to achieve the best results. They are particularly helpful for chronic pain, sports-related issues, or persistent tightness.

If your main goal is relaxation and stress relief, a holistic massage may be the best choice. If you are dealing with ongoing musculoskeletal pain or movement problems, deep tissue massage is likely to be more suitable.

If you’re unsure which option is right for you, don’t worry. Our skilled therapists will tailor your treatment according to your preferences and needs.

Massage therapy can be beneficial during pregnancy, however most practitioners won’t massage during the first trimester. This is due to the higher risk of miscarriage during the initial 12 weeks of pregnancy. During your first trimester you could visit one of our Osteopaths, who can treat people in every stage of their pregnancy.

Some of our physical therapies such as Podiatry and Osteopathy require the removal of some clothing items to examine, diagnose and treat you in the best way possible. You may wish to bring shorts if you feel it is necessary. For relaxing treatments such as Massage and Acupuncture we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing to get home in following your appointment.

We suggest getting the most up to date information from Hackney Council’s map of controlled parking zones here. The clinic is in Zone J. Please note that due to the market there is no car access to Broadway Market on a Saturday.

Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause a broad range of symptoms including memory issues (brain fog), frequent colds and sore throats, extreme fatigue, lack of energy, muscle weakness, low mood and anxiety. Boosting your Vitamin B12 levels by injection can provide relief from these symptoms quickly and more efficiently than oral or dietary supplementation, as your body will absorb the levels of Vitamin B12 required. You can read more about Vitamin B12 treatments on our page here.

If you pay into a private health insurance plan or have a work benefit – check what your policy eligibility covers. People sometimes overlook that their policy covers podiatry, massage, osteopathy, and many more of our treatments. We do not accept patients who would like their treatment covered by AXA or BUPA.

During your first appointment with our podiatrists, they will discuss treatment options with you. If the area around your ingrown toenail is infected, your podiatrist might suggest antibiotics. In such cases, they will dress the area and ask you to return in a few days. Our podiatrists may also advise you on how to manage the ingrown toenail without surgery, perhaps by making changes to your footwear. Sometimes surgery may be necessary to remove all or part of the toenail. After nail surgery, the nail typically regrows within a few months. If the ingrown toenail persists, we may perform a permanent removal procedure to destroy the nail root.

If there is anything else you’d like to know, do not hesitate to get in touch.
