Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy At Hackney Podiatry & Health
Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy is a results-driven multi-modal approach to working with chronic pain and injuries.
Unlike a spa massage, treatments blend sophisticated soft tissue techniques – including myofascial release, precise trigger point therapy, advanced stretching, and acupressure – with deep relaxation. Working in a collaborative way from the outset, we set goals that are relevant to your life – working towards outcomes such as pain reduction, improved range of motion, and enhanced quality of life.
Our advanced practitioner, Kat, is currently finishing her Jing Method™ Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy qualification with the prestigious Jing Institute. Ahead of her graduation in September 2026, she is bringing this specialist modality to Hackney Podiatry & Health at an exclusive introductory rate.
Targeted relief for chronic pain conditions
If you have been living with discomfort for six months or more, or are recovering from an acute injury, this may be the treatment for you. Kat welcomes clients experiencing generalised pain in addition to common conditions including:
- Neck & shoulder: Headaches, migraines, whiplash, thoracic outlet syndrome, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, torticollis (stiff neck), bursitis, general shoulder pain
- Lower back: Herniated disc, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, non-specific lower back pain
- Forearm, wrist & hand: Carpal tunnel, RSI, golfer’s and tennis elbow.
- Leg, knee & foot: ACL/MCL tears, sprains, IT band syndrome, runner’s knee, lasting pain from past injuries
- Hip & pelvis: Osteoarthritis, hip replacements, bursitis
The 6-Session Treatment Package
To achieve meaningful and lasting change, the treatment plan is structured over 6-sessions and includes thoughtful between-treatment recommendations (such as stretching, breathwork, strengthening exercises). This enables us to measure your progress, re-test benchmarks, interrupt pain cycles and work towards results you can easily monitor.
- Session 1 (90 Mins): Comprehensive assessment with range of motion testing and initial targeted treatment
- Sessions 2 & 3 (60 Mins): Weekly therapies to address the cause of discomfort
- Session 4 (75 Mins): Extended progress check-in, benchmarking, re-testing, and treatment refinement.
- Sessions 5 & 6 (60 Mins): Targeted treatment perhaps addressing a further area of concern
While booking 6-sessions is recommended to achieve meaningful change and the best clinical outcomes, one-off initial sessions are also available. Maintenance treatments are often recommended following the initial package.
