Expert Colonic Hydrotherapy At Hackney Podiatry & Health

Colonic Hydrotherapy is a safe and effective method of exercising the colon to eliminate stored faecal matter, gas, mucus, toxic and poisonous substances, which if left in the body can lead to more serious health problems.

This gentle procedure involves slowly introducing filtered water into the bowel through a small tube, and then allowing the water, along with any loose debris, to exit through a larger tube. This is conducted using a closed system, ensuring there is no odour or direct contact with waste. Throughout the process you will be supported and well taken care of by the practitioner – so the overall experience in our London clinic should be comfortable and relaxing. All equipment used during a treatment is single-use and disposable, prioritising hygiene and safety.

There are many advantages of colonic hydrotherapy:

  • Improved bowel transit time – particularly beneficial for people with constipation, IBS-C/mixed type or sluggish digestion
  • It tones and and exercises the colon while removing excess waste, leading to better function
  • Helps to balance the microbiome thus helps
  • Short Chain Fatty Acid production
  • Increased absorption of nutrients through bowel wall
  • Decreased enterotoxin production and absorption
  • Reduced congestion of kidneys, lungs and skin
    Improved liver function
  • Assists conditions secondary to poor bowel function
  • Increased energy and well being
  • Forms part of a naturopathic approach for an overall improvement in health, and reduction of any uncomfortable digestive symptoms
  • Optional probiotic gut-health booster following treatment allows good bacteria the opportunity to repopulate and thrive in a clean environment

Please do not book if you suffer from any of these contra-indications. Colonics are unsuitable during pregnancy. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) for this treatment – including how it feels, how you can expect to feel afterwards, and how you should prepare for your treatment. If in any doubt, please contact us before booking – as we may refer you to your primary healthcare provider.

It is important to choose a qualified practitioner. Both of our Colonic Hydrotherapy practitioners are registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Our practitioners tailor every treatment to suit the individual, offering the option of probiotic implants directly into the colon, to introduce good bacteria without it passing through the gut. Iwona uniquely offers clients herbal infusions as part of every treatment.
